It’s time once again to register for the 22nd Annual Combined Clinical Conference scheduled for August 12 - 15, 2008 at the Lake of the Ozarks - Tan-Tar-A Resort at Osage Beach, Missouri. The resort is located two miles off Highway 54, on State Road KK, midway between St. Louis and Kansas City.
The conference is sponsored by the Missouri College of Emergency Physicians, the Missouri Emergency Nurses Association, the Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association and the Missouri Ambulance Association As always, the Combined Clinical Conference on Emergency Care provides educational opportunities for Physicians, Emergency Department Nurses, EMTs, Paramedics, Flight Personnel as well as, members of leadership and instructors. The learning objectives are to provide emergency care professionals the opportunity to improve the medical care they deliver. MOCEP will send a rebate check after the completion of the conference. Advanced registration for the conference is highly recommended. On-site registration will be made available as space permits. Telephone registrations will not be accepted. Registration materials will be available at the registration desk beginning at 6:30 p.m., August 12, 2008. Lunches and breaks will be provided during the conference. Award winning Lake of the Ozarks Tan-Tar-A is the hotel headquarters for the conference, which features 1000 rooms and suites, several restaurants, five swimming pools and water park, two championship golf courses, health spa and exercise room, bowling lanes, children’s playground and child care, and full service marina to name a few. Tan-Tar-A Resort has secured the conference room block as Resort Complex room locations. In order to receive the location, you must reserve your room by July 13, 2008. For reservation requests after the cut-off date, rooms are on a space/rate available basis. These rates are in effect 2 days prior to the conference through 2 days after the conclusion of the conference: Single, Double, Triple or Quad. Occupancy - $114.00. Partial refunds will be made after this date. It is expected that over fifty scientific and industrial exhibits will be on display during the conference. Specific hours will be listed in the conference syllabus. ACCREDITATION: CEU’s have been applied for from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. EMS CEU’s are provided by Central Jackson County Fire Protection District. A maximum of 15 nursing and 18 pre-hospital CEU’s are possible. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies for the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education through joint sponsorship of ACEP and Missouri College of Emergency Physicians and the Combined Clinical Conference on Emergency Care. The American College of Emergency Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American College of Emergency Physicians designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
